What is Magic Spoon, and what does the lineup include? Magic Spoon is a US brand that rebuilds nostalgic sweet foods on a milk-protein (casein + whey) base — high in protein, low in sugar, grain-free and gluten-free. In Canada we carry the full family at Top Nutrition & Fitness: Cereal, Treats bars, toaster Pastries and Granola, plus the reusable silicone bowl & spoon. Browse everything on the Magic Spoon collection.

Magic Spoon launched in 2019 with a simple pitch: the flavor and crunch of childhood cereal, rebuilt for adults who care about protein and sugar. Instead of grains and cane sugar, Magic Spoon uses a milk-protein base (casein and whey) and sweetens with allulose, monk fruit and stevia. The result is a set of sweet, familiar-tasting foods that land far lower in sugar and net carbs than the classics they imitate.

Since then the brand has grown well beyond cereal. This guide walks through every Magic Spoon family we stock in Canada, what makes each one different, the flavors to know, and how to choose between them. We have served Canadians since 2016, and our owner personally taste-tests everything we carry — so this is an honest tour, not a hype reel.

Heads-up: Magic Spoon just landed a fresh restock, so a few products may show as out of stock for a short window while inventory is received. You can still browse each product page and check availability there.

Magic Spoon Cereal

The one that started it all. Magic Spoon Cereal pours and crunches like the boxed cereal you grew up on, but each serving runs about 13 g of protein, roughly 0 g of sugar and about 4 g of net carbs at ~140 calories. It is grain-free, gluten-free and keto-friendly, built on a casein-and-whey base and sweetened with allulose, monk fruit and stevia.

The flavor range is the widest in the lineup. Core flavors include Fruity, Cocoa, Frosted, Cinnamon Toast, Peanut Butter, Cocoa PB, Maple Waffle, Honey Nut, Blueberry Muffin, Birthday Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookie and Chocolate Brownie. There are also seasonal and limited runs (think Pumpkin Spice, S'mores, Strawberry Cheesecake, Salted Caramel and a Hot Chocolate limited edition), plus a higher-fiber line in Fruity, Cocoa and Cinnamon Toast. Availability rotates, so check the product page for what is in stock.

Magic Spoon Treats (bars)

If cereal is breakfast, Magic Spoon Treats are the grab-and-go snack. Each bar is a soft, chewy-crisp cereal treat — think a crispy rice-and-marshmallow square rebuilt with protein — at about 12 g of protein, ~1 g of sugar and ~2 g of net carbs for roughly 130 calories. They are grain-free, gluten-free and keto-friendly, and among the lowest-sugar soft bars we carry.

Flavors include Marshmallow, Chocolatey Peanut Butter, Blueberry Muffin, Double Chocolate, Birthday Cake, Strawberry Milkshake, S'mores and Salted Caramel, plus newer Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Cookies & Cream. Note that the bars contain milk and almonds.

Magic Spoon Pastries

The Magic Spoon Pastries are the brand's take on a frosted toaster pastry (the pop-tart shape and frosting, minus the grain and the sugar load). Enjoy them straight from the wrapper or warmed in a toaster. Flavors are Frosted Strawberry, S'mores and Cinnamon Brown Sugar. Like the rest of the line they are grain-free, high in protein and low in sugar — because macros vary by flavor, check the nutrition panel on the product page for exact numbers.

Magic Spoon Granola

Magic Spoon Granola brings the same formula to clusters you can spoon over yogurt, layer into a parfait or eat dry by the handful. It is grain-free and gluten-free, high in protein and low in sugar, sweetened the same clean way as the cereal. Flavors include Mixed Berry, Peanut Butter, Honey Almond, Dark Chocolate, Blueberry Vanilla and Apple Cinnamon. Each bag is about 3.5 servings.

Magic Spoon Protein Oatmeal (coming soon)

The newest addition to the family is different from everything above — and that difference matters. Magic Spoon Protein Oatmeal is gluten-free whole-grain oatmeal: it is made with real oats plus inulin, flax and chia, and dialed up to about 15 g of protein, ~1 g of sugar and ~6 g of fibre per packet. Just add hot water for a warm, filling breakfast.

Important: because it is built on real whole-grain oats, the oatmeal is not keto and not grain-free — unlike the cereal, treats, pastries and granola. Think of it instead as a high-protein, high-fibre, gluten-free hot oatmeal. It is the pick when you want a hearty grain-based breakfast rather than a low-carb one. Flavours are Apple Cinnamon, Banana Bread and Maple Brown Sugar.

This one is coming soon — it is being set up now and is not yet live on the store, so it will not have a buy button until it is stocked. Keep an eye on the Magic Spoon collection for its launch.

The Bowl & Spoon

Rounding out the family, the Magic Spoon silicone bowl and spoon is a durable, reusable set for your daily bowl. It is an accessory, not a food — a nice add-on if you are stocking up on cereal.

Which Magic Spoon should you pick?

  • Want a breakfast you eat with milk? Start with the Cereal — Fruity and Cocoa are the crowd-pleasers, Peanut Butter and Cinnamon Toast for something richer.
  • Need a snack for your bag or desk? The Treats bars are the most portable, at ~1 g sugar per bar.
  • Craving something warm and indulgent? The Pastries toast up like the real thing.
  • Topping yogurt or want dry clusters? Go with the Granola.
  • Want a warm, filling grain-based breakfast? The Protein Oatmeal is the one — real oats, ~15 g protein and ~6 g fibre (coming soon). Note it is not keto or grain-free like the rest of the line.
  • New to the brand? Grab a cereal box plus a couple of Treats bars to sample the range, and browse the full Magic Spoon collection.

Dietary notes (read before you assume)

The core Magic Spoon line — Cereal, Treats, Pastries and Granola — is grain-free, gluten-free, keto-friendly, high-protein and low-sugar, sweetened with allulose, monk fruit and stevia rather than cane sugar, and soy-free. Because the protein comes from casein and whey, all of it contains milk, and some items (such as the Treats bars) also contain almonds — so it is not vegan or dairy-free.

The one exception is the Protein Oatmeal. It is made from real whole-grain oats, so it is gluten-free and high-protein but NOT keto and NOT grain-free. Do not group it with the low-carb items above — it is a grain-based breakfast by design.

A fair caveat: "low sugar" is a family trait, not a blanket promise for every single flavor. The classic cereals sit near 0 g of sugar, and the Treats bars around 1 g, but richer, marshmallow-style or limited-edition flavors can carry a little more. Nutrition also shifts slightly between flavors and can change with reformulation, so always confirm the numbers on the current package panel before you buy for a specific diet.
