Who is PVL EAA Complete for, and EAA vs BCAA?
EAAs (Essential Amino Acids) include all 9 amino acids your body can't make — including the 3 BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, valine). BCAAs alone are mostly obsolete in 2026 — if your daily protein intake is on point, you don't need extra BCAAs. EAAs make sense for: fasted training, very-low-protein diets, vegan athletes, between meals on cutting phases. This is an EAA blend — full spectrum, more research-supported than BCAA-only. Pairs well with: protein powders, pre-workouts, creatine.
What's the dose and when should I take it?
Typical EAA dose: 10–15g, mid-workout or between meals on fasted training days. BCAA dose: 5–10g pre or intra-workout. Mix 1 scoop with 400–500ml cold water — they make a great intra-workout sip.
What are the macros per scoop?
Aminos are usually zero calories or 5–10 cal per scoop, with zero or near-zero carbs, fat, and sugar. Flavoured versions use sucralose, stevia, or monk fruit. Exact macros vary — see the nutrition label image above for the macros of the size/flavour you're choosing. Net Carbs = Total Carbs − Fibre − Sugar Alcohols − Allulose (when listed).
What about the quality and allergens?
EAAs and BCAAs are usually fermented from corn — naturally vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free. Verify the panel for added ingredients (electrolytes, caffeine, B-vitamins). Some brands add caffeine — check if you're sensitive. Can I pick up in-store? Where are you and is there parking?
Yes — free store pickup, ready in 30 minutes during store hours. We're at 3575 Av. du Parc, Local 5635 inside Galeries du Parc underground mall, downtown Montreal. Our online inventory is the same as our in-store inventory — if it's in stock on the website, it's also available in-store, since every order ships directly from the same physical store. Tell us at the cash and we'll give you a free 1-hour validated parking voucher — drop it in the parking machine on your way out for free indoor mall parking. Store hours: Mon 11 AM–8 PM, Tue–Fri 11 AM–6 PM, Sat–Sun 11 AM–5 PM.
