About Tide Treats
Tide Treats makes crispy rice protein bars built around a real rice-crisp bite — the nostalgic crunch of a cereal-marshmallow treat, rebuilt as a high-protein, no-added-sugar snack. Each 80 g bar delivers 25 g of protein and 7 g of fibre, sweetened with allulose instead of sugar.
Why we carry it
We added Tide Treats because crispy rice-treat texture is rare in the high-protein space — most no-added-sugar bars are soft or dense. Owner-tested in Montreal, these have a genuine crunch, a clean short label, and the highest protein of the crispy-bar category, which fits how we curate.

Values from each flavour's on-pack Nutrition Facts panel (Vanilla via a public database). *Cookies & Cream's full panel isn't published yet — check the on-pack label. Every flavour has 25 g protein and about 7 g fibre; all are no-added-sugar except S'mores (2 g added sugar). Net carbs are about ~15 g per bar — after backing out ~7 g fibre and ~12 g allulose (Tide Treats-confirmed).
*Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Vanilla figures are taken from verified on-pack panels. Cookies & Cream, S'mores and Island Berry follow the brand's published targets (~25 g protein, ~7 g fibre, no added sugar, ~280 cal) but exact per-bar macros are not yet published — please see the on-pack panel for the precise figures on those three. Values vary by production run; always check the label, especially for allergens.
Where the carbs come from
Most of the ~34–35 g of total carbohydrate in each bar is not sugar. It comes from the crispy-rice protein base, the fibre (tapioca fibre and chicory-root fibre) and allulose — a rare sugar the body largely doesn't metabolise for energy. With only 3–6 g of actual sugars and 0 g added, the bars stay treat-like without a sugar load.
If you track net carbs, the maths is simple: Tide Treats' carbs are almost all fibre and allulose, not sugar. Back out ~7 g fibre and ~12 g allulose (a rare sugar counted in carbs but not metabolised for energy) from the ~35 g total carbs and you land at about 15 g net carbs per bar — confirmed directly by Tide Treats.
Net carbs per bar
~15 g
~35 g total carbs − 7 g fibre − ~12 g allulose = ~15 g net carbs
Allulose (~12.4 g per 80 g bar) is a rare sugar counted in carbs but not metabolised for energy — Tide Treats-confirmed.
Ingredients & allergens
All six bars share the same crispy-rice protein base — milk protein crisps, tapioca fibre syrup, allulose, cashews, milk protein isolate, chicory-root fibre, coconut oil, almonds/almond flour, sea salt and natural flavour — with flavour-specific additions:
-
Chocolate: adds cocoa powder.
-
Peanut Butter: adds peanuts / peanut butter (this flavour contains peanuts).
-
Vanilla: the plain original — no cocoa or fruit added.
-
Cookies & Cream: adds gluten-free chocolate sandwich-creme cookie inclusions (cane sugar, palm shortening, pea & potato starch, white rice flour, cocoa, tapioca, pea protein, salt, natural flavour, sunflower lecithin, inulin) plus black cocoa.
-
S'mores: adds dark chocolate (chocolate liquor, coconut sugar, cocoa butter, sunflower lecithin) and gluten-free graham crackers.
-
Island Berry: adds organic freeze-dried strawberries, blueberries, tart-cherry powder and orange powder.
Contains: milk, peanuts (Peanut Butter flavour), tree nuts (almond, cashew). All flavours are gluten-free. Some flavours list soy lecithin. Ingredients vary by flavour and production run — always read the on-pack label, especially for allergens.
How it compares
Tide Treats is the choice when you want a genuine crispy rice-treat texture with the highest protein per bar of this group and zero added sugar. It's larger and a bit higher in calories than David or Barebells — closer to a full snack than a small bar. (Comparison macros are approximate and vary by flavour.)
Pairs well with
Great alternative to
If a soft low-sugar bar like Barebells is sold out, Tide Treats targets the same goal — high protein, no added sugar — in a crispy rice-treat format. It's also a strong swap for a sugary cereal-marshmallow bar when you want the same nostalgic crunch with 25 g of protein and no added sugar.
