   What is the CFU count at manufacturing?

  We want to make sure you are getting a potent product right up until the expiry date. That’s why each capsule contains 125 billion at the time of manufacturing. This overage ensures we remain at label claim or better at expiry.

   Is this safe to take while pregnant or breastfeeding?

  There is no caution on this product against taking while pregnant or breastfeeding; however, we do encourage pregnant or breastfeeding moms to consult with their health care practitioner prior to starting any new supplement.

   Can this be taken alongside antibiotics for a UTI?

  Yes! The NNHPD monograph on probiotics requires labelling to include directions to take probiotics 2-3 hours before or after taking antibiotics, as you see on our packaging

   How long can women’s UTI be taken?

  The advanced gut health women’s UTI probiotic is a preventative product (although it may help with treatment). It is recommended that probiotics be taken daily, and for those that experience frequent UTIs, we recommend their product of choice be the women’s UTI formula.

   What type of cranberry do you use in your probiotic and how does it help a UTI?

  We use a standardized whole fruit cranberry called CRAN Naturelle® which is extracted from whole fruit cranberry, including the seeds and oils, and is standardized to both soluble and insoluble proanthocyanidins (PACs). PACs are the bioactive components in cranberry fruit that have been linked to improved urinary tract health, oral health and gut health. But the authenticity and PAC content of many cranberry dietary supplements is questionable due to the lack of standardization of bioactive PAC components. The PACs in CRAN Naturelle® have been authenticated to ensure potency and bioactivity.

  In order for a UTI to occur, bacteria must adhere to and invade the lining of the bladder. The PACs in CRAN Naturelle® interfere with the bacteria’s ability to stick to the bladder wall, reducing the likelihood of infection.
