15 Balanced Strains
Crafted with 15 strains in a balanced formula to promote women’s gut and urinary tract health, including the following species: L. fermentum for decreasing vaginal pH (1), L. gasseri to decrease vaginal pH (2), L. rhamnosusfor anti-microbial support against uropathogens (3), Lactococcus lactis for healthy skin support (4), plus CRAN naturelle™ organic cranberry to prevent recurrent urinary tract infections.
Look closely: While competitive probiotics for women may contain 15 or more strains, the majority of the formula is in 2-3 stains.
Guaranteed 50 Billion Live Bacteria
Guaranteed to contain 50* billion live colony forming units (CFUs) – right up to expiry.
Strains are triple-cleaned in a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment to ensure that only the heartiest and healthiest strains remain.
Our strains are put into a vegan, plastic-free, delayed-release capsule to ensure that they pass through the stomach acid, reaching the gut where they thrive.
A human clinical study found that these capsules make it to the small intestine 45 minutes after standard capsules (5) and deliver up to 10x the bacteria to the gut (6).
Free from Allergens
Vegan, non-GMO and free of allergens like eggs, dairy, mustard, peanuts, seafood (fish, crustaceans, shellfish), sesame, soy, sulphites, tree nuts, wheat and gluten.
No Refrigeration Required
Shelf-stable, with potency guaranteed right up to expiry.
*GUARANTEED 50 BILLION CFU AT EXPIRY. 125 BILLION CFU AT MANUFACTURE
What is the CFU count at manufacturing?
We want to make sure you are getting a potent product right up until the expiry date. That’s why each capsule contains 125 billion at the time of manufacturing. This overage ensures we remain at label claim or better at expiry.
Is this safe to take while pregnant or breastfeeding?
There is no caution on this product against taking while pregnant or breastfeeding; however, we do encourage pregnant or breastfeeding moms to consult with their health care practitioner prior to starting any new supplement.
Can this be taken alongside antibiotics for a UTI?
Yes! The NNHPD monograph on probiotics requires labelling to include directions to take probiotics 2-3 hours before or after taking antibiotics, as you see on our packaging
How long can women’s UTI be taken?
The advanced gut health women’s UTI probiotic is a preventative product (although it may help with treatment). It is recommended that probiotics be taken daily, and for those that experience frequent UTIs, we recommend their product of choice be the women’s UTI formula.
Can this be used by men?
Yes, advanced gut health women’s UTI can be used safely by men. Even though most of the research on cranberry and probiotics for UTI prevention has involved women, some studies with beneficial results did include men.
Should I take Women’s UTI or Women’s DAILY?
advanced gut health women’s UTI is best suited for women who experience frequent UTIs and want to help prevent recurrence. It is specially crafted with 15 strains in a balanced formula to promote women’s gut and urinary tract health. Plus CRAN naturelle™ organic cranberry to prevent recurrent urinary tract infections. If UTIs are not a common occurrence for you, then go with the advanced gut health women’s DAILY!
What type of cranberry do you use in your probiotic and how does it help a UTI?
We use a standardized whole fruit cranberry called CRAN Naturelle® which is extracted from whole fruit cranberry, including the seeds and oils, and is standardized to both soluble and insoluble proanthocyanidins (PACs). PACs are the bioactive components in cranberry fruit that have been linked to improved urinary tract health, oral health and gut health. But the authenticity and PAC content of many cranberry dietary supplements is questionable due to the lack of standardization of bioactive PAC components. The PACs in CRAN Naturelle® have been authenticated to ensure potency and bioactivity.
In order for a UTI to occur, bacteria must adhere to and invade the lining of the bladder. The PACs in CRAN Naturelle® interfere with the bacteria’s ability to stick to the bladder wall, reducing the likelihood of infection.
